About Cathy

As a third culture kid raised on a US Air Base in Korea, my awareness of multicultural norms, global politics, and socioeconomics was learned early on, navigating life in a Korean/German-American household within a monoethnic, developing society.

Having lived and worked in diverse cities like Miami, San Francisco, Seoul, Gwangju, Edinburgh, New York City, Dallas, and Los Angeles, I've gained valuable insights into diverse socioeconomic and cultural landscapes. I’ve worked in equally multifaceted fields such as Education, Marketing, and Law, before deciding to pursue acting and enter the Entertainment industry in 2017.

As a SAG AFTRA member in 2018, I've developed extensive experience on numerous film, TV, and commercial sets in LA and NY, enhancing my understanding of industry intricacies from casting to on-set dynamics.

These experiences have equipped me with the cultural competency to thrive in diverse environments, from largely homogenous ones to majority-BIPOC spaces. As a minority female navigating the entertainment industry, I offer unique perspectives and authentic solutions to intercultural relations and DEI initiatives.

I have a MSc in Global and Social Changes from the University of Edinburgh, with a focus on Global Cities, Nationalism Studies, and Social Identities

My B.Sc is in Marketing and Business Management from Johnson & Wales University in Miami, FL
